Can I bring my Campervan/Motorhome?

Campervans and motorhomes are welcomed by the community of Kidwelly. We have several carparks where motorhomers are allowed to park overnight. The Motorhome Aire at the Princess Gwenllian centre is not available during the event. However there is a carpark a 5 minute walk from the centre where you are welcome to stay overnight. This is quiet and out of the way with no facilities. Suitable for larger vehicles. There is also space for smaller day vans to park at the Kidwelly Quaye carpark. There is also a chemical toilet waste disposal facility available at the Princess Gwenllian centre for all motorhome / campervan visitors to use. Please respect the area and campervan community by leaving nothing behind but your tyre tracks. Thank you.

How can I travel to the event?

We have car parking available at the centre and charging points for Electric vehicles are available Bike storage is available at the front of the centre to lock your bike up safely We encourage people to travel by public transport where possible. We are well connected for a late night train back to Swansea, Carmarthen and beyond. The Centre is a 2 minutes walk from Kidwelly train station. The X11 bus travels from Carmarthen to Swansea and back during daytime hours. There are several local taxi firms available also. It is advisable to book these in advance.

Is this event run by the same company who organised the Gwen Gwen festival in Kidwelly?

We get asked this question often, especially from those who reside beyond Kidwelly. The answer is no we are not affiliated in any way. This event is a stand alone entity and a not for profit event run by a constituted community group made up of volunteers. We run the event on a very small budget and rely solely on our hard working volunteers and community spirit. Everything made from this year’s festival will be reinvested into next year’s event. :)

Can I bring my dog? *

Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs into the event. This is due to the size of the site and much of the event being indoors.

Can I bring my fish?

Fish are not allowed inside the building. However, friendly fish are welcome outside on leads at all times. But please beware of the cat......
